I have been a member of staff at Mary Rose Academy January 2015 and in January 2016 became KS3 Head of Learning. I have been a teacher since 1993.
I am originally from the North of the country and have live in Portsmouth and its surrounding areas for the last 22 years.
I live with my partner, he is a teacher of science and Engineering and I have three Newfoundland dogs as well as three oriental cats! The house is quite full!
When I am not working I enjoy spending my time walking the dogs in the countryside or down by the sea as well as participating in Dog Shows with my three giants. We have yet to make it to the dizzy heights of Crufts!
What excites you about your role within the Academy?
I thoroughly enjoy working with the staff and pupils at Mary Rose Academy. The staff are so supportive and committed to the work that they do and ensure that each learning experience is the best possible. I have had already so many rewarding moments with the pupils and I am incredibly proud of their achievements in Food studies. 2016 was the first year for BTEC food and all the students passed which was a huge highlight of the year for the pupils and myself. I am looking forward to helping more pupils achieve their goals whilst also having fun times with the staff and pupils along the way!
