Lower Primary were visited by the Fire Service this week. The fire crew were amazing offering Sealions, Turtles and Puffins an opportunity to explore the fire engine, the outfits and even the hose which was a big hit!
Sealion Class thoroughly enjoyed dressing up as firefighters and having a turn at driving the fire engine and shooting the water out of the hose as far as it could travel.
Turtle Class enjoyed taking it in turns to drive the simulator, they were great at watching out for the obstacles. They also loved using the fire hose, demonstrating their aim and accuracy to knock down the fire sign.
All of Puffin Class were very excited to see the fire fighters arrive in their classroom. Lloyd particularly enjoyed wearing the fireman’s jacket and helmet whilst exploring the fire engine. Benjy and Kaef loved the driving simulator, racing around the streets of Southsea in the Fire Engine to get to the fire, putting the siren on and beeping the horn.
A great time was had by all and we didn’t get wet!
