Key Stage 3 enjoyed an actioned packed Rio day with lots of hands on activities, and between the classes we managed to travel most of the continents on offer. For Victory pupils Asia was the first port of call and they had opportunity to see one of their friends in traditional Indian dress. Mayflower ventured into the jungle and created pieces of aboriginal artwork just like the tribes in the Outback.
Then they travelled to North America to take part in American football drills with the visiting American football team, the class even got to wear some of the protective clothing. Discovery also globetrotted to Australia and showed off their balancing skills on the surf board simulator. They then moved on to bust some moves in the Hip Hop workshop in North America. Adventure class sampled an Asian banquet which included a Thai curry and spring rolls which went down a treat and then they showed off their sushi making skills by rolling seaweed stuffed with a variety of fillings. The first stop off point for Ark Royal class was the duty free area! They got to peruse the different perfume scents and taste the different chocolates.
They then travelled to the USA and have a fantastic sensory experience looking for stars in look things sensory, American style such as hot dogs, and baked beans! Fearless class also stopped off at Duty Free and came away smelling lovely. They then jetted off to the Tropics and encountered all sorts of reptiles, including a very large Python called Monty, and all sorts of creepy crawly insects. To top the day off for Fearless Lucy Gudgeon won the prize for the best dress pupil in the Key Stage 4 . A fantastic and very busy day was had by all in the Key stage.
