Fearless and Ark Royal really enjoyed the Key Stage 3 PMLD Sports Festival. The classes participated in lots of activities including football, target practice, under the sea rebound, table cricket and UV skittles. Pupils demonstrated a variety of PE skills during the festival and their enthusiasm for sport really showed.
Fearless class really enjoyed the sports festival. They participated in 3 activities, football in the hall, target practice in the class room and then they visited the sensory room for a u.v. game of skittles. In the hall they were able to put the skills that they had learnt with Mel in their PE lesson to good practice. Charlie was really excited when he saw that they were going to have a football match and he became the green team leader. In the classroom Perry was great at target practice, Bronwyn even gave him a ‘golden moment’ for good work. Charlie managed to hit a target by casting the bean bag into the air. Ben thought that he was going in the sensory room for a rest but when he found out that he was playing skittles he had a great big smile on his face. Lucy also liked the sensory theatre especially when she had a few minutes to choose to chat by the fibre optic lights.
Ark Royal class enjoyed a session of making new friends in soft play. In the studio Lois enjoyed bouncing up and down on the trampoline to a beat while Olivia was in her element swinging independently on the swing. In the final session Ollie was amazing at rolling the balls down the ramp and Harriet was an expert thrower. Callum was looking out of the classroom door and persuaded Gavin to let him have a quick turn at table top cricket.
Pupils really benefitted from this event; not only did they have an action packed day but they also made lots of new friends from different schools in the local community. So thank you Kirsty and Maddie for organising this event, the only thing left to say is… when the next one.
