KS3 Sport and Movement Festival 1.11.17

Pupils at Mary Rose Academy were really excited to welcome pupils from Cedar School, Icknield School, Great Oaks and St Francis School to take part in this year’s Key Stage 3 Sport and Movement Festival.

Warrior Class -

It was really good and great to mix with other schools!

Warrior class had a wonderful time at the Sport and Movement Festival! Callum was fantastic at target shooting and won us lots of team points for the day. Josh and Olivia showed great teamwork in the ball skills activity and Byron got a strike when playing skittles! A particular highlight for our class was bouncing on the trampoline. We laughed and giggled the entire time, and would have stayed there all day if we could. We enjoyed making friends from other schools and look forward to next time.

Invincible Class -

Invincible Class has an amazing time at the Key Stage 3 Sport and Movement Festival! We really enjoyed meeting pupils from other schools and making new friends.

We had particular fun bouncing on the trampoline, this was very exciting. We also enjoyed playing ball games with giant footballs, we knocked down skittles and played football.

All of the pupils received medals for taking part and we felt proud to take these home.

We are looking forward to next year’s festival!

Leaders from Discovery Class

Pupils from Discovery Class were very excited about supporting their friends in the Festival as Sports Leaders. Jack’s favourite part of the day was making friends with John from St Francis, Bradley, Morgan and Yaseen enjoyed helping their group play skittles and explore the Sensory Room, Charlie, Garth and Nasiff’s favourite part of the day was helping their group in the Ball Skills activity, Aidan enjoyed helping to give out the medals in the awards ceremony at the end of the day!

Well done to everyone that took part and we are looking forward to our next Festival!
