Leavers & Achievers 2016

Leavers & Achievers 2016

At the end of the year we celebrated the achievements of our primary pupils and also said goodbye and good luck to our primary leavers in our ‘Leavers and Achievers’ presentation. This year our primary leavers were Kwan, Joel and Gavin. We wish them the best of luck for their big move to our secondary department and hope that they continue to enjoy their learning up at the other end of the school.

Four pupils made the transition from nursery into key stage 1 this year, they were Ananya, Dexter, Sophie and Elahi (Sami). They can look forward to lots of new and exciting learning opportunities within their new classes and a chance to make new friendships.

Each class selected the pupil who they felt had made the most progress during the year or who had achieved something extra-ordinary for their class achiever of the year. The winners of these awards were:

  • Starfish: Dexter
  • Turtles: Oliver
  • Puffins: Jimmy
  • Sealions: Grace J
  • Octopus: Grace M
  • Dolphins: Alyssa
  • Sharks: Owen
  • Seahorse: Reece

All primary staff have the opportunity to vote for the overall ‘Primary Achiever of the year’ which is awarded to the one pupil that has made significant or exceptional progress across the whole primary department. This year the winner was Kwan who gained the majority of votes from all of the classes.

A worthy winner – well done Kwan!
