Lower Secondary had a fantastic and very messy stunning start!
Lower Secondary had a fantastic and very messy stunning start! We set up a science fair to introduce investigation and observation skills. Jane made a lemonade and salt volcano which all the pupils enjoyed, showing anticipation and commenting on what they could see. Another station involved investigating the properties of materials, Jevonne and Jacqui decided that spaghetti was long and soft so made beautiful hair. Grace was fascinated by the properties of non-Newtonian fluids (cornflour and water) and watched very carefully as she tried to pour it from a cup. Amari and Rosie were able to run a floating and sinking test making predictions and sorting objects into categories. We are looking forward to using this skills throughout the topic.
