A Walk Through The Decades Today was the day of our Annual Mary Rose Academy Sponsored Walk! This year we decided on the theme of A Walk Through the Decades with each area of the school dressing up in the theme of a different decade. EYFS and Key Stage 1 dressed up as the 1980’s, Key Stage 2 as the 1990’s, Key Stage 3 as the 1970’s, Key Stage 4 as the 1960’s and 6th Form as the 00’s.
We all arrived at school in an array of fantastic fancy dress and worked with our friends to prepare for the walk. At 11:00 we were pleased to welcome parents, carers and friends to join us for our warm up dance and start of our walk. The sun was shining for us and we enjoyed attempting to complete as many laps of the outside of school as possible within 1 hour. Our Academy Student Voice Council SHOUT help to keep us hydrated by running a water stop table.
Our end of the week assembly was focussed on the sponsored walk and there were some special awards…
