The sun was shining and the field was set up ready for our Mary Rose Sports Day! Pupils and staff made their way down to the field in great anticipation for a fantastic day! We were pleased to also welcome lots of Young Leaders from Milton Cross and Redwood Park School and lots of parents, grand-parents, carers and friends!
The morning activities included a circuit of a range of different tasks and challenges including cricket, football, target games, archery and water stations. Pupils worked hard to achieve their personal best scores in order to boost their over-all team scores and were awarded stickers with the Sporting Values (Determination, Passion, Respect, Honesty, Self-belief and Team Work) stickers depending on which attribute the Young Leaders thought the pupils had demonstrated best!
After lunch we held our races! We had great fun cheering everybody on! At the end of the day the Admin Team quickly got the final scores together and the winning team was…. The Red Team!
Special Awards for the day voted for by staff were also made for -
Primary Achiever – Lexi Darcy-Burt
Primary Effort – Gavin Kabasele
Secondary Achiever – Darren Turner
Secondary Effort – Poppy King
Well done everyone who took part!
